About the background, yes, it's messy, maybe I should put some textures on it? Something special?

i like the way you colored it!

Nice style. I feel like I'm hopping on the bandwagon, but the cropping really is distracting. It takes away from the very well rendered expression on his face! I just love that expression, but I feel my eyes shying away from that part of the painting because it feels...wrong.

Anyhow, I really love how you've done the black clothes. Incorporating all those colors must have been really difficult, and I applaud you. Great piece!
